MagiScan Plugin for Unity

Install the MagiScan plugin in Unity, link your phone, and import your latest scans as game objects and project assets.

What you need

Install the plugin in Unity

Open Unity Hub and create a project

Launch Unity Hub. Create a new project or open an existing one where you want to use MagiScan models.

Open Package Manager

In the Unity editor menu, click Window, hover over Package Management, then click Package Manager.

Find and install MagiScan

In the Package Manager search bar, type magiscan. Select the MagiScan package, then click Download and Install.

Connect your phone

Start connection from Unity

Click Window, hover over Package Management, then click Package Manager. Select MagiScan in the list and click Connect. Unity will display a QR code for pairing.

Open Linked Device on your phone

On your phone, open the MagiScan app and go to Profile > Connected Devices > Link Device. The QR scanner will open.

Scan and confirm

Scan the QR code shown in Unity. Review the connection details on your phone and tap Link to complete pairing.

Import models into your scene

Browse your scans

After linking, the plugin loads your latest 500 scans from your MagiScan account into the plugin panel.

Import a model

Select any scan and click Import. The model is added to your Unity project as a game object and as a plugin asset, ready to use in your scene.

What's next?

Place imported models in your scene, adjust scale and materials, and build AR or 3D experiences. If you need new source scans, use our scanning guide or quality tips before importing into Unity.
